Harry De Freitas is newly ordained Deacon for the Diocese of Metuchen. He received his Masters in Theology at Immaculate Conception Seminary at Seton Hall University.
He comes to St. Ambrose with a wealth of experience in the corporate world.
He has been active in parish life since childhood. As an adult, he has been a youth minister,
sacristan, extraordinary minister of the Holy Eucharist, lector, catechist and active in men’s ministries including Cornerstone, Carpenters for Christ and much more.
He comes to St. Ambrose from St. Augustine of Canterbury Church in Kendall Park, NJ.
Harry and his wife Janet have three grown children. Harry is looking forward to working with the
youth, parents, staff, and volunteers in the Parish School of Religion.
